Very large & very dangerous pothole, at least 2 feet by 3 feet in size. The road is unlit at this location. I believe this hazard warrants emergency repair. I would telephone it in myself, but don’t know which county’s Highways Dept is responsible. The FMS app on my phone appears to have determined that my PIN is in Buckinghamshire Many weeks ago, privately someone has put a traffic cone into the hole. But it doesn’t always remain in the hole. Besides, the cone itself is a hazard. The true depth of the pothole is disguised when rain water fills the hole. I estimate the vertical edge is at least 4 inches high. If 2 vehicles pass one another here, then the nearside wheels of one are likely to drive through the pothole and be ruined. The section of road here is “fast” because it is comparatively straight, wide and otherwise in good condition compared to sharp & blind bends on the approaches. I see that this pothole has been reported at least 4 times since 14 June. The most recent report is FMS Ref 5033834, on 26 Sept 2023. I see that the reports have been passed not only to Oxfordshire Council, but ALSO to Bucks Council. The county boundary is somewhere very nearby and perhaps there is some confusion in this regard. My photos were taken on 29 September. Thank you
