Road restriction and cycle path damaged.

The road restriction barrier across the bridge has been damaged and moved in such a way as to make it dangerous for a cycle user to use the cycle path that it also separates from the general traffic across the bridge. By the looks of it several large vehicles and or busses have driven into it causing the anchor and most of the partition to be displaced. I would suggest driving several large steel bars into the road bed inside the anchor and filling it with concrete to dissuade these vehicles from driving into it.

  • Barriers have been reset following the latest strike, Traffic Road Safety team are looking at ways of reducing the RTC at this point.
