Overgrown hedge at 20 Monmouth Road

A disabled resident has complained about the overgrown hedge outside 20 Monmouth Road. It makes it impossible for him to use the pavement safely. Can the resident be written to advising them of the need to cut the hedge?

  • Landowners and occupiers are required to trim any hedge on their property that is next to the public highway where the growth is preventing the passage, or affecting the safety, of the highway user. In this instance the highway does appear to be obstructed  from full use. The land/property owner will be contacted and if action is not untaken we will follow up accordingly.
