Hedge pushing pedestrians into road

Reported via desktop in the Grass category anonymously at 16:14, Fri 29 September 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

The hedge at the corner of Arnold Road and Donnington Bridge Road is so overgrown that it takes up the whole pavement. This is forcing pedestrians into the road. I saw a bus come within a few cm of a pedestrian earlier. Please trim this back to the property line since the landlord is neglecting it.

  • Landowners and occupiers are required to trim any hedge on their property that is next to the public highway where the growth is preventing the passage, or affecting the safety, of the highway user. In this instance the highway does appear to be obstructed  from full use. The land/property owner will be contacted and if action is not untaken we will follow up accordingly.
