Enormous Leyland Cypress hedge over footway

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

For years the Leyland Cypress hedge at 429 Meadow Lane has been expanding over the footway and it has now reached the tarmac road. It needs to be cut back about 1.5 metres to the property boundary.

  • Landowners and occupiers are required to trim any hedge on their property that is next to the public highway where the growth is preventing the passage, or affecting the safety, of the highway user. In this instance the highway does appear to be obstructed ¬†from full use. The land/property owner will be contacted and if action is not untaken we will follow up accordingly.
