Past few days we have seen a Residents Team clearing Bath Street with Wheelbarrows and Spades-as far as I can glean not being a member-this disgraceful situation was repeatedly reported over the past year but nothing was done it was ignored and got worse and worse. before action it was so bad that over the half the narrow clogged pavement was forcing schoolchildren and others into the road traffic to pass in single file. I do not know who these Good Samaratains are-they may be residents or staff from the Barnados centre. But whoever they are more power to their elbow. They have spent the best part of the past 3 days in back breaking work cutting back the soil and vegetation along this stretch. It included youngsters and teenagers-they looked German to me-.So Good to see teenagers who care about the community. I learned this lesson myself in the Civil Service when I dismally & lazily failed to perform mass posting a report out. It was done for me by Monday morning behind my back by other staff with rolled up sleeves & I couldnt access my desk for the piled up work of 400 envelopes.! If you cant do it then stand aside and let people who can DO! The Poster has no links to the said Good Samaratines nor any further information. As my late Mother was want to say put that in your pipe and smoke it! I doubt much the powers that be can say can we have the soil back to recreate the mess!
