Water damage to grade 2 listed house from damaged pavement

Reported via desktop in the Drainage category anonymously at 12:50, Monday 18 September 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The pavement outside causeway cottage is in a bad state with holes resulting in water from the drainpipes not flowing away and instead draining under a grade 2 listed house. This has caused mould and damp in the house with rotten skirting boards corresponding to where the lack of drainage is. I have had a builder out who says the pavement needs resurfacing with concrete pavement grids putting in to allow water drainage away and prevent further damage to the house. If for some reason the council cant pay for it I am willing to as the house is being damaged by the lack of drainage from the pavement. The builder is getting Gordon Hill out to assess the damage being caused. I feel this is an urgent matter as every time it rains the house is gets wetter with the water flowing underneath it. Thank you Jacky
