Bushes/brambles damaging my fence and garage roof

My previous request about this issue was closed saying the hedges were the responsibility of the property owner(or words to that effect). However the word "hedges" in my previous report may have been misleading. They are not hedges as such but overgrown bushed and brambles etc, and they are on the council land between my boundary fence and the canal footpath. Therefore I dispute your claim that the upkeep of the hedges/bushes/brambles are my responsibility. I would therefore ask you to re-open the report so that the necessary action can be taken.

  • Thank you for your report. Are you able to provide a photograph please? If not, could you give the exact location and our Highway Officer will come out to site and check it against the maps. It may the Parish Council's responsibility but once we have the information we will resolve this matter once and for all. Thank you.
