Line painting

Reported via Android in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 08:30, Wednesday 13 September 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Please make this dangerous roundabout safer for everyone by at least paint some lines on it! It's a 3 lane roundabout and essentially no lines to mark where cars are supposed to be. Also it would be beneficial to put arrows on it to make it easier to navigate. This problem must be well known as it's non existent for years!

  • Most likely will get "closed" future programmed works/project, no budget, etcetera, & no real commitment date to fix in very near future, as neumerous other reports have been made and closed without actual action. "Passed onto the relevant team for investigation" as noted above, appears to be a generic response when reported on FixMStreet.

*** Suggestion: Advise local councilors representing Littlemore area of the needed attention for "safety reasons".

  • Previous reports were either closed as Duplicates as the original had been updated to sau this roundabout was on our lining programme this year. However further inspection revealed that the roundabout needs resurfacing which is due to be carried out next year when the lining will be replaced as part of that scheme.

  • The proposed refurbishment of the road markings were due to be carried out summer 2023. However, these were cancelled due do a subsequent decision to resurface the entire roundabout early next year when all the markings will have to be renewed

  • Thank you for your report. We have looked at it and found that it was a duplicate of an issue reported by another customer. Although we had planned to carry out the line refurbishment during 2023/24, this was cancelled since the whole roundabout is due to be resurfaced in 2024.
