Overgrown public alleyway to the side of no.18 Chorefields towards Lyne Road

Reported via mobile anonymously at 16:02, Tuesday 12 September 2023

Sent to Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

This public alleyway Which is used by several commuters locally through Chorefields to the bus stop at Lyne Road end of Grovelands has been overgrown for years. It is a personal safety issue as the path is so overgrown and someone could easily be assaulted or attacked with no onlookers. Every few years it is trimmed back and grows back and people drop Sharps, bottles cans and rubbish often. For a number of years the on alleyway access has been limited due to overgrowth. There are concrete bollards in the middle of the overgrowth showing the width that the alleyway should be which can hardly be seen because of the overgrowth.

  • This area may look a little better in these photos as a couple of dead ash trees were taken out by your contractors. However this overgrowth and littering problem has been an ongoing problem for years and has not been cleared to make it a priority for the public safety of large numbers of individuals using this essential alleyway can be seen from both Chorefields and Lyne Road, to enable their safety when coming and going from the bus stop at the Lyne Road end of Grovelands.
