Alleyway from Foster Road, Abingdon to Long Furlong Park The bushes/hedges are impinging the pathway making it very narrow in places. This makes it very unsafe for pedestrians who have to cross into the bike lane on a corner. We use this alleyway multiple times a day for the school/nursery run, It is so overgrown. Some areas have huge stinging nettles and in other areas visibility for oncoming bicycles is non existent. Although the path has been patched up in one area the ground is also still uneven, making it very difficult to push a pushchair, ride a scooter or bike safely.

Landowners and occupiers are required to trim any hedge on their property that is next to the public highway where the growth is preventing the passage, or affecting the safety, of the highway user. In this instance the highway does appear to be obstructed from full use. The land/property owner will be contacted and if action is not untaken we will follow up accordingly. The path has also been highlighted for future programmed works.
