Investigating
Unsafe junction Wood View/Hightown Road
Reported via mobile in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 11:52, Sun 10 September 2023
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
The junction with Wood View and Hightown Road has been unfinished for nearly a year.
Pedestrians aren’t aware of the junction and traffic entering and exiting Wood View have come in to close contact on numerous occasions. It is only a matter of time before someone gets seriously injured.
The drop curb doesn’t line up with the road either making it difficult to turn in safely.
Not sure why a Section 38 was not mandated at the start of construction.

The Section 38 Legal Agreement is nearing completion and once in place the developer will be in a position to deliver the agreed bellmouth access works. We have contacted the developer to ask that they ensure the visibility is kept clear throughout the construction.

Still nothing happened five months later. Is there anybody actually working in the “relevant team” if there is I would like to know when this problem will be resolved. After all the Councel ore taxpayers are not required to pay for this, the developer is.
