20 mph road sign in verge
Reported via mobile in the Road Markings category anonymously at 17:55, Fri 1 September 2023
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Road sign installed a couple of weeks ago on grass verge. Installed less than 30cm from wall and fence boundary, between two bushes so difficult to see from single track road and also less than 60cm from water meter cover and mains into property. If a vehicle collides with the sign post it will damage my wall and fence and could disturb water supply to property. The sign could’ve been located on opposite verge which is clear and completely open or mounted on telegraph pole.

A common sense approach and decision should be extremely straightforward. I look forward to it being relocated.

Please see the following link for info on speed limits. The first thing that’s required are speed surveys for where a new limit is proposed.
The County can organise these at the Parish Council’s expense. Then the results can be assessed against the appropriate criteria.
