Pavement narrow & overgrown
Reported via mobile in the Pavements category by Gary Nixon at 22:25, Thursday 17 August 2023
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Over the last 12 months the pavement has become narrower & vegetation has now reduced the ability for pedestrians to walk along the footpath safely it’s not acceptable to have to avoid wing mirrors of trucks that pass this spot & has become single file only for pedestrians it is dangerous

The path continues to be overgrown impeding walking along it as the branches overhang the pavement & weeds/grass continues to make the pathway narrower

So today 12/9/2023 somebody has tickled the overgrown grass leaving all cuttings strewn across what little pavement there is but you still get smacked in the chops by overhanging branches & coupled with trying not to get smacked by wing mirrors whilst walking the narrow path you get a sense that safety is not the concern of highway maintenance crews or contractors tasked with maintaining footways & out of control trees & weeds

Well thanks to a volunteer person who has stepped forward & cleared the issue in his own time, the council can now rest easy & our elected councillors can now start their maintenance schedules as they work very hard to justify election as it appears they cannot instruct or pass a motion to provide the services for the upkeep of the highways.
