Blocked drain on the main road through the village at the end of Elba House driveway.

We have noticed since the winter that the drains running along the stretch of road between Elba House and Pound House have been full to the top of the man hole cover. With recent downpours the drain outside Elba House has been overflowing. It lies in a bit of a dip in the road at that point. A few weeks ago the road at that point was flooded. These photos are taken after a small amount of rain this morning. We believe the situation is getting worse and as this is a flat area we are concerned that properties may be at risk of flooding with more substantial rain. I would like for the drains to be inspected to ascertain why they are overflowing. This mornings rain was not enough to overflow the drain unless there is a problem in the drain.

Hello - the water has eventually drained. The drain photo clearly shows that the top of the drain is blocked as the leaves are lying on the top. The continual water laying over this area has now seriously compromised the surface of the vehicular access across the highway land which gives access to our property. Please advise whether this needs to be reported to a different department. Thank you

There has still been no action regarding this flood - which does not clear. With the imminent freezing I believe there could be a real danger to life as cars usually speed up or brake at this point before the bend entering onto Goosey Green. As I have said previously the village is used by horses, cyclists and pedestrians who use the road as opposed to the grass verges which are now very sodden and muddy. Please be aware there are no pavements here and no street lighting so it is difficult to see the extent and depth of the water. Our delivery drivers are now complaining about access to the house. Please advise when you can investigate

Good Afternoon, I am a delivery driver that frequently visits Elba house in Goosey and I am concerned about the entry way to the aforementioned property with regard to damaging my delivery vehicle. The road is in a terrible state and full of water, it is quite worrying that there could easily be a very nasty accident with cyclists and/or pedestrians avoiding vehicles on what is a narrow country road. This has been getting worse for quite a few months
