Request for road sign – Caution accompanied horses

Reported via desktop in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 16:58, Friday 11 August 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

I would like to request a Caution accompanied horses sign to the unnamed road running between the B4035 and Tadmarton Heath. This is due to a high volume of traffic moving at high speed, with a blind bend just before a hidden crossing point. This is a 50mph road, and it is not possible for traffic to stop in time for pedestrians and horses crossing. There is an existing sign to one side of the hazard, but no signage to the other side at the point of the bend. Please see aerial map showing point of requested sign, point of existing signage, and crossing points. Key - X1 Point of requested sign X2 Point of existing sign A Crossing point B to C Crossing point This request has also gone to Highways in an expanded form, to highlight all aspects of the road safety problem. Thank you.
