Flooding Rainbow Way, Abingdon.
Reported via iOS by Mary Avery at 12:13, Sat 5 August 2023
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and Vale of White Horse District Council 1 minute later
Workmen have been aware of this situation and even Thursday and Friday this week have been working to trim tree roots that, on their investigation, were blocking the drains. As you can see the problem stlll exists. Maybe take a look and study the problem when there is a deluge.

The issue has be investigated and the tree roots with the Highway Drainage system have been successfully removed. However it appears that similar issues of tree roots are evident in the down-stream drainage system which is owned and maintained by Thames Water. They have been made ware of this issue within their piped system this morning and have given us a Job number - ( Ref 00414706 ) They have informed us they will attend and carry out an investigation within 24 hours. We will update once Thames Water has updated us with their findings and what they intend to do to alleviate the problem of flooding.

Thought it had been fixed but this was taken today at 19.16. The heavy rain is expected to last till 1.00 am. This is just an update, the builders have started uphill laying roads. Very concerned.
