Overgrown grass is blocking sightlines

Reported via desktop in the Grass and Hedges category anonymously at 10:50, Friday 28 July 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

The grass growing on the junction of Blounts Court Road and Gravel Hill is so overgrown that it is very difficult to see down Gravel Hill when pulling out from Blounts Court Road. This is already a difficult junction to navigate and the overgrown grass means that you have to move your car in to the road to safely see down the hill to pull out.

  • Thank you for your enquiry, highway verge grass cutting is undertaken once a year between May and August For details of the policy please go to  https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ sites/ default/ files/ file/ roads-and-transport-major-projects/ grasscuttingpolicy.pdf  Initially, we concentrate our resources on vision splays at junctions and then move round the network throughout these months. This does mean some verges are cut later than others.

    State changed to: Investigation complete
