Weeds obstructing pathway need removing.

Buddleia growing out of wall and across the path at no 9 Montagu road which means you have to walk on the road to get in to Montagu road. Weeds growing out of side wall at same address which runs up the Garth. Obscuring path - trip hazards and pushes pedestrians onto Road. Please cut out tree and cut back weeds. Thanks

Thank you for your report. I have visited the site you pinpointed on the map, In The Garth, by the side of 9 Montagu Road, Botley, see photos, and assessed the issue that you have identified. I have requested a 28 day notice be sent to the owners of 9 Montagu Road to cut back their vegetation that is overgrowing and obstructing our The Garth footway.

Thank you for your report. Here is an update, I have re-visited this site and cut back the section of vegetation, that we are responsible for, growing from the footway, see latest photos.

Thank you for your report. Here is a further update: I have revisited the site you pinpointed on the map, by the side of 9 Montagu Road, at various times, and assessed the issue that you have identified. The owners of 9 Montagu Road, have been issued with further notices, to cut back their vegetation that is overgrowing and obstructing our The Garth footway, and we are currently awaiting their response. I am therefore closing this report.
Landowners and occupiers are required to trim any hedge on their property that is next to the public highway where the growth is preventing the passage, or affecting the safety, of the highway user. In this instance the highway does appear to be obstructed from full use. The land/property owner will be contacted and if action is not untaken we will follow up accordingly.
