Entry to playing fields from Croft Close

The picture Entrance shows the entrance from Croft Close onto the playing field. It is very uneven and difficult for Trikes, Mobility scooters and pushchairs to use. It's been like this for at least five years. What would the best way to to improve this?

The picture possible cycle trail shows the straight line to the existing cycle trail who's access to Croft Road is now obstructed by the newly fitted gate. Would it be possible to lay a cycle path which would encourage cyclists and walkers to avoid Croft Road.
