Abingdon B4017 from Mill road to Preston road.

Reported via desktop in the Roads and Carriageways category by Chris Blomfield at 19:56, Mon 10 July 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

Road surface is absolutely worn out plus a sunken manhole opposite the turning point on Coleridge drive(Mill road end) is now a serious traffic hazard as well as causing early morning disturbance,ie 5 00am with lorries hitting it with subsequent banging and crashing. These problems were reported about 2 years ago but very little action take. I note that many roads in the local area have been resurfaced why not this one as to me it seems extremely urgent.

  • Thank you for your report. Pothole repairs have been raised and will be fixed within the next 28 days, however the inspection covers do not meet the intervention level and will be monitored. This road has also been put forward for resurfacing works we are hoping this will take place in the 2024/2025 financial year.

    State changed to: Investigation complete
