Cars parking - nearly getting run over

Reported via desktop in the Road Markings category anonymously at 07:58, Mon 10 July 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

It seems that it is tradition for some reaosn on this parade of shops for people to park blockign one lane of the road as well as aiming towards the pavement. I cannot count the amoutn of times i have walked down here and nearly been hit by a car who has sung in to a "space" and nearly hit me whilst i was walkign on the pavment. Cars block one lane of the road which makes it difficult for all cars and buses to pass this area too. Road marking should be in place to force people to parralel park rather than hang across one lane of the road and being half on the pavement.

  • We are aware of concerns about this parking layout, and are in discussions with the Parish council as to whether and how to make any changes; if we do consider it necessary to make changes, there will be a public consultation about that before anything is approved by the County council Cabinet Member.
