Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and Vale of White Horse District Council 1 minute later
I have already witnessed a couple of near accidents here where cars are exiting the roundabout heading north obviously not aware of the Aldi store exit. This road now has a 30 limit but its not obvious for people coming from that direction, its seems common for people to exit the 40 mph of the other roads and speed up as they exit the roundabout rather than slow down.

This length of road which serves access to both the David Wilson Homes site and the Aldi site is 30mph. The approving Engineer has reviewed the accident database and can see no accidents over the past five years. We have carried out an interim Road Safety Audit and no speed or road safety concerns were raised. There are further measures to be constructed as part of the Aldi scheme, which will help ensure vehicle speeds are compliant with the speed limit and we will ensure concerns about speeding are raised in the full Road Safety Audit.
Kind regards

Thanks for the response, although it does seem a bit odd to talk about no accidents in the last 5 years as Aldi has only been operating from here for a short time. I was exiting the Aldi car part this morning, a car came from the south well in excess of 30 mph. Another point to make is, the Aldi exit is not visible from the south until you are very close to it. I'm looking forward to the further measures when complete (as long as it doesn't involve road humps that is). Many thanks.
