Trees Overhanging The Road
Reported via desktop in the Report a tree problem category anonymously at 09:37, Sat 24 June 2023
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later
I have now reported this twice in October 2022 and in Jan 2023 and each time it just gets closed and deemed not necessary to do anything.
Well I am now sick to death of the bin men who refuse to reverse past our vehicles unless we move them further up the road, so if we are not at home they do not collect the bins as the overgrown trees are causing an issue. So the street residents then complain to SODC there is a missed bin collection and the council then have to send out another bin lorry, how is this saving money.
The trees have taken up to 3 - 4ft width road at the bottom and overhanging even further, so the passing cars are getting their cars scratched, even with cars parked on the footpath.

So now twice in a week the refuse lorries are not coming down the road due to the overhanging of the branches and shrubs. Why has no-one bothered to inspect or even look at this yet. Despite reporting this 3 times and still not able to park our daughters wheelchair accessible car on the road!!

Please come and trim the hedge as it is dangerous due to blocking the view and narrowing the road. A few weeks ago I cut some of it by hand but it wo you of take hours to do the whole hedge!!

Please come and help trim these back! It is nearly impossible to drive a car down the road without being scratched now as the trees/bushes are overhanging so badly.

Today Biffa bin lorry would not reverse past my vehicle, despite it being 3/4 on the footpath. So I get a note that the bins were not collected because of this.

See ENQ23979983, this was reported by a council bin operator even requesting the trees be cut back.

This was started to be cut back, unfortunately the whole road was not completed and our car continues to be scratched just to get to the bottom of our road. Please come and finish this street!!
