Illegal discriminatory anti-cycling gate

Reported via mobile in the Current Roadworks - live information category anonymously at 18:03, Wed 14 June 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

On the newly designed shared use walking/cycling path, at the bottom of the ramp up from the Thames path to the A44 is a new anti-cycling gate. Bad enough that the Council puts in such infrastructure (in clear violation of cycling Design standard LTN 1/20), but worse with less than 1.20m wide those barriers are well below the absolute minimum of 1.50m deemed necessary for disabled access. This gate should be removed immediately. I reported this problem before, but used the "cycle path" category, which only allowed me to report it as a "suggestion" which got automatically closed. This is no suggestion, this is a major problem with the newly build infrastructure and should immediately be fixed.
