Overgrown hedge is restricting visibility for vehicles to safely exit Woodside Lane. Issue is exacerbated by drivers leaving Gallowstree Common at excessive speeds

  • Landowners and occupiers are required to trim any hedge on their property that is next to the public highway where the growth is preventing the passage, or affecting the safety, of the highway user. Oxfordshire County Council is only entitled to carry out works to keep the streets safe. However, in this instance the highway was not obstructed from use and we do not believe we have sufficient cause to take further action at this time but will continue to monitor during statutory inspections
