Overgrown footpath

Reported via Android in the Grass and Hedges category anonymously at 20:04, Monday 5 June 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The length of this footpath is overgrown, at one end it is a narrow footpath made almost impassible without getting stung by nettles or attacked at head height by brambles at the and where the entrance roadway to the garages is the footpath is almost totally overgrown. This path is not in my ward but was drawn to my attention by an 87 year old lady who had been trying to keep the brambles at bay for a number of years now, but understandingly can no longer do so. This footpath is used by older residents to reach bus stops on the Banbury road and parents with pushchairs attempting to get back home or access the play area at park hill. We surely should not expect people to navigate a footpath in this condition, if the houses on either side of the alley are responsible they have been negligent for some time. Possibly the work should be carried out and the cost charged back to the appropriate householder. Whatever happens the work needs completing ASAP
