Thank you for your report. I have visited the site you pinpointed on the map, outside 67 Cumnor Hill and 2 Arnolds way, and assessed the issue you have identified.Regarding and in response to the comment 'Overgrown service strip outside 67 Cumnor Hill and 2 Arnolds way....Not cut for a number of months. Causing visibility issues coming out of 67 Cumnor Hill', Oxfordshire County Council is currently carrying out grass cutting operations for visibility splays at junctions and this should be completed by the end of May. All other urban and rural grass cutting operations, on our verges (service strips), will commence from June, under the annual grass cutting program.
Please note: Due to annual budgetary constraints, verge (service strip) grass cutting is only one cut per year. This grass cutting program extends well into September. Also note that with grass cutting we have to take into consideration Environmental/Biodiversity as well as safety issues, safety, however, being our primary concern.
See policy document:
https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ sites/ default/ files/ file/ roads-and-transport-major-projects/ grasscuttingpolicy.pdfRegarding and in response to the comment ''Tree down too from the looks of things outside 2 Arnold way' I have visited the site and assessed the issue you have identified. This large tree branch appears to have fallen onto the service strip, so is not a hazard..
I am therefore closing this report.
