Faded road markings

Reported via desktop in the Road Markings category by Peter Brooks at 11:06, Sat 3 June 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

Approaching Littlemore Roundabout from the Oxford Road/Iffley side the arrows are so faded that the older (obsolete) arrows are almost as visible. This causes confusion and incorrect lane choices. There are also no lane markings round the roundabout. The whole thing is shambolic.

Council ref: ENQ23963971

Updates

  • Thank you for your enquiry. This issue has been passed onto the relevant team for investigation.

    State changed to: Investigating

Posted by Oxfordshire County Council at 11:07, Sat 3 June 2023

  • ***Numerous reports have been reported on FixMyStreet and this particular roundabout. Appears several temporary fixes done in small portions. Needs whole resurface, white lines, not only on roundabout, exit roads off also.

****Who is the "relevant team for investigation", responsible party or division to clearly address "all" work that is needed, or pending?****

A response attached onto this original FixMyStreet as reported above, would be of more considerate response.

    Thank you in advance.

  • We have investigated your report and have added your request to our maintenance list for 2023/24. However, these works will have to compete with others that may have a higher priority as more reports are received (for example where there are greater safety implications). As a result it may get deferred more than once.

    State changed to: Investigation complete
