Incorrect 40mph sign heading away from Wantage at new roundabout

As you go over the new roundabout heading away from Wantage, there is a 40 mph speed limit sign as you leave the roundabout that should be a 50 mph sign

  • The Stage 3 Road Safety Audit for WELR 1 identified a concern about inappropriate speeding approaching the roundabout and therefore the speed limit has reduced to 40mph. This is currently established through a temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TRO), whilst the permanent TRO is going through a consultation stage.
