Unauthorised advertising hoarding /billboard
Reported via desktop anonymously at 21:16, Friday 2 June 2023
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and South Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later
Large event advertising hoarding (billboard) on triangular area of grass immediately to NW of A4130 /B480 junction.
Hoarding is a visual eyesore and is obstructing visibility to traffic exiting B480 onto A4130.
Hoarding is advertising "Vintage Fair" being held at Fawley (Bucks). It is not directing visitors to event, but its purpose is purely promotional
Sign has been in place for >6 weeks . Ironically hoarding is now displaying fact that event has been postponed until August (presumably owners intend to leave it in place until then)
The owners have previously put hoardings here for events they held in previous years, so are repeat offenders.
Please remove hoarding or contact owners to have them remove it and take action to ensure that it or similar, does not reappear this year or in future.
Owners can be contacted via website www.fawleyhill.co.uk (see images).
Thank you

Since uploading images the owners of the billboard, the organisers of the Vintage Fair advertised, have replace the billboard with another of the same size at same location. This time advertising their upcoming Trad Boat Fair on the Thames at Henley.
New billboard, same eyesore same highway visibility problems.

Another similar sized large billboard has now been erected at the same location. The latest advertising a "Vintage Fair". Again it is an eysore and is a visual obstruction to roadusers exiting B480 onto A4130 as they cannot clearly see Henley bound traffic on the A4130 sufficiently far up the hill towards Bix to cross the A4130. This is getting beyond a joke!
