The tree has something wrong as there is lots of sticky substance all over our garden, windows, chairs and tables. It also is on washing when we hang it out over the waterbutt grass and patio

It’s awful everything is sticky which is causing a major problem of me and my family being able to use the garden. Even the handle on the doors are sticky. I can’t afford to not put my washing out on the line but it’s making that sticky. I have to wash the windows every other day because they’re covered in a sticky goo.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. I have visited the site and inspected the tree, the tree is not diseased, the sticky substance is from the sap in the tree and is a natural process. The tree was inspected last summer as part of a cyclical survey of the trees in Abingdon, work has been specified for this tree and will be undertaken within this financial year.
