Pedestrian Crossing Button still not working and other issues with traffic adherence

Reported via desktop in the Traffic Lights (permanent only) category anonymously at 16:31, Thursday 1 June 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The button to indicate someone wants to cross at the pedestrian crossing is still not working correctly. It 'times out' frequently. When someone presses the button, it should work (initiate the 'green man' for crossing) and not time out. Additionally, I am incredibly concerned at the amount of traffic that simply ignores the crossing traffic lights when on red. Drivers either drive straight through on red or set off on red whilst pedestrians are still on the crossing. I am a daily user of this crossing and am shocked at driver behaviour, particularly given the crossing is next to a primary school. Could this issue be looked at please.
