Debris on road

Reported via mobile anonymously at 22:15, Tuesday 30 May 2023

Sent to Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

There is an increasing amount if debris on the edge of the Rose Hill roundabout approaching from Rose Hill. As this is driven over by vehicles it is breaking up and pieces are encroaching into the lanes of the roundabout . Debris includes plastic bottles, a wheel trim, stones, wood, branches. This debris, combined with the pot holes and poor road surface on the roundabout is dangerous. There is also debris ( tarmac pieces?) in the raised concrete section approaching the junction and seen in the wing mirror in this photo, The debris had been their for some time but the amount had increased over to the last 4 weeks.

  • * "Diversion Route" what does that mean in the responses to NUMEROUS problems/repairs at this same roundabout/Rose Hill Littlemore? 5/27repairs 4602799 / 23963362 4667697 / 23958654 *** 4327816 / 23952216 4513408 / 23960251 (monitor on a monthly basis) 4504179 / 23959943 4647407 / 33961408 these are "only a few of the reported issues" at same roundabout area.

?Clarification on what Diversion Route means. This has been an ongoing traffic saturation area for years. Even more so since LTN's have forced more traffic onto major road ways that are also "residential areas" & should be treated, addressed as such. Numerous reports have been submitted. Area needs a permanent fix. Commuters will most likely appreciate a one time completely get it "all done" in a few days, rather than what appears from those reporting their concerns on FMS quick unreliable, half hazard repairs/fixing. Let's get this situation resolved in a more positive "team" approach, & residents being heard of their ongoing concerns to be addressed with a long term solution.

The above notes/comments are for constructive consideration of the OCC & also road work repairs department. Thank you for your time and anticipated response being posted onto this FMS web site, prior to closing of this as reported.
