Dear Council, please could you not cut the grass on the cycle path down the eastern bypass as it gives good protection to cyclists and pedestrians from the fumes and dust from the vehicles. But please could you cut the hedges back on there. Thank you for all you do

No it needs to be cut back. The long grass becomes a safety hazard and causes too much pollen in the air. It also restricts visibility and blocks light from street lamps in the dark. Make sure to cut it back and keep the place looking tidy.

This is a great idea, I cycle down here daily and the longer grass that Separates the dual carriageway from the cycle path stops all the dust and fumes blowing into my face, it does Not affect lighting or vision keeping it longer on this SPECIFIC stretch of cycle path/road, it would benefit pedestrians and cycles keeping it lingers please don't cut. It may well affect lighting in other locations but not here. Please keep the grass longer on this specific stretch.

No this needs to be cut back. long grass is untidy and attracts animals. A hedge could be a good compromise though. Please cut the grass without further delay.
