Joining A417 from Silver Lane West Challow

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Although the council cut some of the verges a few weeks ago on the south side of the A417, the visibility from a car joining A417 from Silver Lane towards traffic coming along Westwards on the A417 is very dangerous. this is especially true for smaller cars especially sports car coming Westward along the A417. Please rectify asap as this this part of the A417 is a 50 mph section and recognise that the view from a van is higher and clearer than most of the cars that use Silver Lane.

  • Thanks to the owner of the field opposite Mellors and local villagers, the danger has been removed. I hope that the points I made about visibility from Silver lane will be borne in mind next time the Council tackles this recurring problem.
