Bund built across field entrance stopping natural road drainage

Reported via mobile in the Drainage category anonymously at 20:59, Saturday 27 May 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

Since September the field entrance has been blocked with an new earth bund. As can be seen from the first photograph this is a vital drainage route for water running down from higher up Foxburrow Lane. A rainfall of one inch per hour will produce 60 cubic meters per hour at the entrance to the site from this 800 metre road length alone ignoring any other flow onto the road from the adjacent fields and properties. Water is now diverted down the road to village centre adding to existing flooding problems and peak flows. This is a natural road drainage point and must be maintained
