Vegetation obscuring junction

Reported via desktop in the Grass and Hedges category anonymously at 22:51, Tuesday 23 May 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

Verges are overgrown and are making it difficult for car drivers to safely negotiate the Childrey crossroads. It is a bad crossroads at the best of times, but more dangerous when visability is made worse by tall vegetation.

  • Thank you for your enquiry Many areas of grass are cut by Town, Parish or other bodies and we have agreements in place with many of them for the highway verges to be cut by those organisations at the same time. These agreements only fund two cuts a year and those still cut by OCC are only cut annually between May and August. We will check this location and if it is deemed to be causing vision problems we will aim to get it cut sooner.
