Deep pothole by the junction of Sir James Martin Way and Monument Road

Reported via Android in the Pothole category anonymously at 07:50, Mon 22 May 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

There is a deep pothole that has expanded and become even worse, becoming 2 potholes, opposite the entrance to Sir James Martin Way, Chalgrove by the central patch of grass housing the John Hampden monument. The pothole becomes submerged when it rains and therefore cannot be seen. Unless drivers knew it was there, it could cause an accident particularly for cyclists (pushbike and motorcyclists) or horse riders using the road. Even when visible, the potholes being so bad means drivers often pull into the oncoming lane of traffic to avoid damaging their vehicles.
