Absence of drain on corner

Reported via desktop in the Blocked Drain / Gully category by Bill Manville at 14:26, Fri 19 May 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

On the corner of Aristotle Lane and Navigation Way the north-east side of the road always floods when it rains. There is no street drain gully on that side of the road. There is one on the other side which copes but the road camber does not carry the water from the flooded side to the drain.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. This issue has been passed onto the relevant team for investigation.

    State changed to: Investigating

Posted by Oxfordshire County Council at 14:26, Fri 19 May 2023

  • We have opened an investigation following your report and have decided to continue to monitor the location at this time. It appears that the original surfacing of the road has been laid to very tight falls and that the standing water may only be very slight and isolated to the channel. This has now been passed onto the County Council technical officer for review. If you would like to be kept updated then he can be contacted by email at carl.stallwood@oxfordshire.gov.uk

    State changed to: Investigation complete
