I find it infuriating that you often don’t fully respond to points or complaints raised and close down enquiries without checking if the council tax payer who raised the issue is happy with your response. A case in point is the issue I raised yesterday which you responded to by telling me I should bring it up with the police and then closed the item. This was my full post: “ I am delighted you have introduced the 20mph limit in Witney. Thank you. However I have two comments: 1. On West End where I live it is ignored by around half the cars. There is a simple reason for this - cars entering West End from Bridge Street driving West clearly mostly believe that it’s ‘chocks away’ when they get on West End as there are so few signs. I am aware you do not wish to clutter up this historically important view with more street furniture but surely one more small 20mph disc is not going to break the camel’s back. There is an existing pole in the pavement roughly where I have marked on the map and it would be very simple to attach one more 20mph speed sign to it. I believe this would act as an instant reminder to drivers turning in to West End that they are STILL in a 20mph zone. 2. Some policing and issuing of fines would also help. How about an occasional speed trap - offenders would soon get the message.” Your response is fair in relation to point 2 but you completely ignored point 1 which I believe IS your responsibility. I am asking for one small additional sign to remind drivers entering West End from Bridge Street that they are STILL in a 20mph zone. Please respond to that and hopefully agree to do it!

So you’ve been ‘investigating’ for over a month now. Any news?
