Give way sign and road markings ineffective

The give way signage is often ignored and is out of proper position (turned to the side, the road markings are also faded. I feel this area needs to be a STOP sign as cars often nearly collided with vehicles coming out of bus station in order to beat the traffic lights, this also causes cars to block junction for turning vehicles into bus station during busy hours. GIVE WAY sign location by Paw paw Chinese restaurant on Bridge Street.

    I belive this is a hazard, many vehicles do not obey to the give way faded markings and poorly presented sign. I'd recommend this becoming a STOP signed area to allow safer travel for all. Most cars do not give way to buses pulling in and out of bus station and have been seen to race to the lights and narrowly cause accidents.
