Large manhole covers loose

We have 3 manhole covers that are metal and large they lose and when traffic goes over them they cause excessive noise all day and all through the night. It keeps us awake as we are road side . .its been like it for at least 6 months we can't have window open due to the constant banging when a vehicle lorries vans go over it its unavoidable as it'd in middle of road
