Convex mirror required for blind bend

The road requires a convex mirror on the outside of the sharp bend as it is completely blind in both directions.

  • Thank you for your request and investigated the personal injury accident record at the location in question, I can confirm that there have been no such accidents recorded in the last 5 year period. Road Mirrors can be misleading at night when reflecting headlights, damaged by vandals or by accident, affected by glare from sunlight, sometimes obscured by condensation and dirt, confusing for non-local motorised vehicles, difficult to site satisfactorily, misleading due to difficulties of judging speed and distance, on this basis we do not install mirrors unless there are exceptional circumstances such as a significant personal injury accident history at the location.
