All speed signs have been sprayed over

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

All road signs that were 30 have been sprayed over with grey paint. They were then changed to 20mph and these have been sprayed over again. The road markings have a 30 as does the digital sign. Which speed is it - 20 or 30 ?

  • Thank you for your enquiry into the new 20mph limit in South Moreton.
    The 20mph speed limit is now live.

    From inspection the lining now matches the signs.
    It was noted that several repeater signs remain covered, a request has been sent through to the contractor to have these uncovered.

    Unfortunately there is short period between the signs and the lining being installed during this time there may be some degree of conflict. This is why the signs are sprayed over until the lines are in. We do try to keep this period as short as possible to avoid confusion.
