Pavement is slimy and slippery due to blocked drain

Reported via mobile in the Pavements category by Susan winter at 09:45, Saturday 6 May 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

Outside no 6 Circourt road I have several times reported the blocked drain causing water to be splashed onto the pavement causing black ice in the winter However now a green slime has appeared on the pavement making it slippery. Myself , my son aged 4 and my husband have all sipped on the pavement but not gone over as yet I have concerns as several elderly residents from the village walk on this path too it is an accident waiting to happen I believe the blocked drain needs to be fixed and the then the path to also be cleaned of the wet green slime ( even when it’s dry it’s wet and slimy as there’s always a puddle there ) also the end of the path has cracked and crumbled and is unsteady underfoot as well and needs repairing I would think

  • The path is becoming even more covered in green slippery algae - the verge next to it is so water lodden you cannot divert across that I am walking into the middle of the road on a bend to ensure we don’t slip It a serious hazard now
