Updates

  • Traffic lights out of action since December 2022; "out of order" warning sign for George Street traffic no longer present; crossing becoming much more dangerous for pedestrians

  • Thank you for your report, we are now investigating this issue and an update will be posted as soon as possible.

    State changed to: Investigating

Posted by Oxfordshire County Council at 15:34, Tuesday 9 May 2023

  • Crossing lights still out of service - no signage for drivers or pedestrians warning of this. This includes the illuminated No-Entry roundels which are no longer illuminated at night. Extremely dangerous crossing for pedestrians now due to reduced visibility on approaching off-side bend (worsened by inconsiderate parking), and frequent excessive speed through the junction by drivers. Extreme hazard for disabled or visually impaired users - accident anticipated.

  • Still out of order, still no signage advising accordingly. Serious near miss this morning involving less-abled elderly pedestrian
