Bush still blocking visibility

Reported via desktop anonymously at 00:40, Wednesday 26 April 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and South Oxfordshire District Council 1 minute later

When this was last reported in December 2022 you attended the site and reported that: "Doesnt require cutting or removing. Visibility is fine from both directions." Since this was completely untrue, as agreed by dozens of local road users, we suggest that maybe you attended a different location? Or maybe you attended in the dark?

We have been writing to you for years about this dangerous situation, and we are fed up with this. Try emerging with a vehicle from the south-west, Path Hill direction, and see how safe you feel. All this requires is an order from you to remove a single ornamental bush. Why is that so difficult? Since when has a single ornamental bush been more important than road safety? Why, EXACTLY, will you not do this incredibly simple, free, action?

  • Visibility is still very restricted coming from Path Hill at this junction by both the bush and parked car. Will it take a serious accident to spur you into action?

  • This location has been recently inspected, on closer inspection it clearly shows the Bush is approx 0.5m within the adjacent property boundary line. Therefore I am unable to take any further action.

    State changed to: Investigation complete
