New street light causing light pollution

Reported via mobile in the Other Lighting Issue category anonymously at 23:04, Mon 17 April 2023

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

The new street lights that have been installed our lighting up my children’s bedrooms to an unacceptable level. We have plantation shutters on all windows and as you can see from the photos the light being emitted toward our windows is an unacceptable level and detrimental to my child’s well being/ health and sleep and therefore a statutory nuisance under section 102 of the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2006 as it is causing a child distress. It is now 11pm and they can’t sleep as the room is lit up. This wasn’t an issue before these new lights as previous lights were dimmed and complete with blinkers/shades on them. I trust this matter will be dealt with swiftly so as not to cause further distress. Regards R. Lynch
