Culvert is blocked leading to water backing up and overflowing the manhole and the ditch that feeds from the springs up the path.

Culvert is blocked.

Water is accumulating on the surface. There is a risk of ingress to a 16th century listed building. A risk of damaging what little foundations there are.

  • The action taken has not addressed the overflowing rainwater drains which continue to flow down the road surface for the length of Church lane. The Council only looked at the culvert at the bottom of church lane but the problem affects the whole lower half of Church lane. The drains along the lane are not accepting any surface water or spring water
